The shoulder is a complex joint. The shoulder capsule and the muscle / tendon cuff around the joint to ensure the strength, function and stability of your shoulder. If the tendon (cuff) calcification (calcium deposits) occurs, then a barbotage treatment (also called needling) encourages the healing process of the tendon.

- The area is flushed to remove calcium deposits
- A wound dressing is placed and a shoulder sling positioned to create a restriction of movement
